How is the Now What?® Program different from other career programs?

Now What?® is the only career clarity and direction program of its kind. It is an inside-out approach to understanding what your next steps need to be and it is proven to work in over 92% of clients we have had work the program with a coach. The process requires self-reflection and weekly assignments. Through a series of powerful questions and exercises, the new direction gets revealed and excitement grows. It can be done in as little as a couple of hours a week, but a full job search or starting a business, will of course, require much more.

What happens after a client completes the program?

Success is determined by how much clarity a client can gain in 90 days. We expect clients to leave the program armed with a plan, actions steps and momentum toward building a new career, business, or dream. Often ,clients will want to expedite their plan with the support of their coach and they move out of the Now What? phase and into the Progress Plan that is ongoing coaching to reach their goals.

I'm eager to make a change as soon as possible, why does the program take 90 days?

Our client experience has proven that making an investment up front to set a strong foundation ( which occurs during a thorough assessment) yields more sustainable results over the long haul with career satisfaction. In addition, despite the client’s sense of urgency we know that to getting sustainable results, and long-term satisfaction, means the answers must come from the client’s agenda, not ours. Quick answers usually means telling people what to do and that does not usually yield lasting change.

Why don't you want to see my resume?

At Now What?® Coaching, we are not resume-driven. We feel your resume doesn't tell us what you'll do next. In fact, we believe it is part of why you may feel stuck. Many people get too hung up on their past experience to be able to find a fulfilling future. We look at your whole life (work life included) instead of your resume to find the clues as to your future steps.

What qualifies someone to be one of your Authorized Now What?® Facilitators?

Laura has personally trained each authorized facilitator at a two-day live event. They take the rest of their training with a member of Laura's A Team who are all top notch coaches, graduates of Coach University and credentialed by the International Coach Federation.

All Now What?® facilitators were accepted into the training only if they had some previous counseling, coaching or HR background. We do not certify these folks as professional coaches. We have them come to us once they have had some kind of coaching training. Please ask your facilitator (or any coach) for their coach training background and credentials.

What is the difference between an Authorized Now What?® Facilitator or an Authorized Life Blueprint® Facilitator?

There is no difference. We went through a branding change and some folks have kept the old moniker. We operate on the Life Blueprint ® philosophy which is that each person carries on imprint on their soul, a DNA, if you will, that points them to what they are here to contribute and gain satisfaction from. Many facilitators choose to keep that at the forefront of their branding.

Are your facilitators independent contractors or licensees?

The people who are authorized Now What?® facilitators are not employees of Now What?® Coaching or InterCoach, Inc., our parent company. They are independent contractors with their own coaching practices. The Now What?® Program is one of the programs they might offer in their own private practices. They are also not licensees. They paid us to train them and they purchase support materials from us. We continue to train them on a monthly basis on an optional participation basis.

Does becoming an authorized Now What?® Facilitator mean you would send me clients?

We have never directly promised that because we feel it would be hard to spread the wealth evenly. We do however, feature you on our website, do a newsletter featuring a different facilitator every month, advertise your events in our bulletins and build brand awareness for you through our national efforts.

Why do most coaches work on the phone?

Many coaches do in person coaching, at least once to meet a client and establish the relationship however, the greater majority of professionals, coach via phone (and nowadays Skype!). Laura, as an 18-year veteran of the profession, confirms that most clients are more forthcoming on the phone rather than in person and that the time is used more effectively via this means of communication. There is no transit time and less time is used for chitchat or avoiding the work that needs to be done. Working with each other by phone also enables you to choose the very best match in a coach partner, regardless of where you or they live.
