Many people are feeling a need or desire for a fresh start, thinking they need to “reinvent” their lives. As we know at Now What?®, the most successful “second acts” actually are not reinventions at all, but rather come from what this author describes as, “crafting a new idea that’s almost always deeply rooted in earlier chapters and activities.”
What might you draw from your past or from the essence of who you are to carry you into a brighter future?

Thank you Laura! This article has some worthy points, especially for us Now What? Coaches that work with many clients in mid life. I certainly have used the word re -invention(it front and center in my LinkedIn profile) and for the most part, many of my Now What? clients seem to be quite successful with developing an encore career that sort of re- integrates some accummlulated wisdom, past knowledge or innate talents that we unearth together as exhibited in their life story or career. Unless my client has a nest egg to work with for reinventing themselves for a second act, a career re-intergration approach may be useful way to reference this process. love to hear my fellow Now What? coaches thoughts.
